History
My name is Franco Dolci and I have past my first years of my life in a farm house, around many mongrels that I thought they were “the dog”.
But one day, I was about ten years old, I walked down the country, I met a boy,
his name was Enrico, of my age and he was keeping a young dog in his arms, but it was a different dog from what I ever known: It seemed to me beautiful and its “big” paws hat me, its expression on the look.
I was charmed. They told me it was an “Alsatian” an I began to dream and to wish it.
When I was fifteen the dream “almost” came true: I came out to have a puppy “similar” to a German shepherd: Black.
After a short sporting break on the motorcycling world, it came the time I chose to keep a dog.
I went to Enrico (the boy who I met some years before) in
order to have some informations about breeders of German
shepherds.

It was 1965 I did my first purchase, almost a crazy thing for me: 25.000
old Italian Lire ( about 13 euro ) and I bought Rolf.
At that time my passion breaks out and, after two years, I knew one of the biggest German shepherd breeder: Mr. Fenili from where I bought my first female dog, Sara della Meta. Mr. Fenili wanted that I became a member of ENCI
( Italian Association of German Shepherds ) and so I came in the dog expert ambit on tip-toe.
I began to read and to take informations, finding out the count Leonardo Gatto Roissard imported a famous dog from German dog farm: Dago v. Schloss Dahlhausen.

| I went to count Gatto, but he hadn’t available puppies so I turned to mr. Tavazzani
( another excellent breeder ) that has made cover one of his brood female form Dago: there was a litter and I felt really amazed to choose “my” puppy: Aiak di Vildor, Then I called Holz. |

I made couple Sara and Aiak (Holz), then my puppies were born, and I got the affix of “Cà San Marco”. Then … it’s the everyday life: successes and disappointments as everything in the lifetime, but over all, to have a big passion for the race and the falling in love when I saw that puppies with big paws ….
